The Department of Labor recently announced new minimum wage rates, called Adverse Effect Wage Rates (AEWRs), that employers must offer and pay, at the time work is performed, to nonimmigrant H-2A workers and workers in corresponding employment beginning on the effective date of the new wage rates. Job Duties:
Performs any of the following tasks to attend to livestock, such as cattle on farm. Maintain heated watering system. Operate feed truck and feed wagon, loader tractor, payloader, skid steer, box scrapper. Gather, process, and distribute feed for cattle. Fill troughs with feed and water. Remove ice formed in water. Keep feeding areas free of debris and manure. Distribute bedding for cattle. Detect, pull and treat sick cattle. Help a cow birth a calf if having complications. Process calves as they come into feed lot. Early weaning of yearling calves. Load and unload cattle from semi trailers. Create and read ration sheets. Maintain and operate snow removal equipment and manure truck. Livestock: Beef Cattle
