The Department of Labor recently announced new minimum wage rates, called Adverse Effect Wage Rates (AEWRs), that employers must offer and pay, at the time work is performed, to nonimmigrant H-2A workers and workers in corresponding employment beginning on the effective date of the new wage rates. Job Duties:
Bee Keeping Job Description Assist in all aspects of commercial beekeeping. Move bees, feed, medicate, and inspect colonies. Transport hives to and from field locations. Harvest and extract honey. General shop work and other maintenance duties on all equipment used. Sanitize plant at the end of the season. Production of honey & beeswax. Must have a current driver's license or capable of obtaining one in 30 days. Must be able to lift 60 pounds. No Texting or unrelated personal calls. No smoking in equipment, housing, or grounds. No drinking of alcohol beverages during working hours and other wise discouraged. Must be able to read, write and understand English for daily record keeping and safety reasons. No allergies to bee stings.
