- Job Duties:
- Attend to live farm, ranch animals that include cattle; Duties include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding, catching, and loading animals; Maintain records on animals; Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Sort cattle for sale; Administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate; Move livestock and feed from one location to another; Clean and maintain animal housing areas, push, pile, move snow and manure; Break ice in water facilities; Inspect, maintain, prepare, repair livestock facilities, buildings, pens, yards, and fences; Track levels of supplies/feed to maintain inventory; Maintain growth, feeding, production, and cost records.
