Job Duties:
Crops/Commodities: wheat, pasture grass/hay, cattle raising. Perform any combination of the following general seasonal farming and grazing/pasture duties: Prepare fields for planting, planting pastures and fields, assist in harvesting of fields, maintain pastures to include shredding and mowing of pastures, remove manure from pens and haul and spread on fields, haul hay off fields, and other general farming tasks as needed. Workers will assist in the seasonal grazing activities which include moving cows to and from pasture, assist in the grooming and rotation of pastures for optimal feed efficiencies and assist with maintaining the security of the pastures which may include inspection of pasture fences and repair those fences as needed to ensure cows are safely grazing in the pastures. Workers may be required to perform other repairs needed to keep pastures optimal for our cows and heifers including repairing any water leaks in water lines going out to the pastures as well as water troughs in pastures. In addition to the work outlined above, workers may be required to perform variable tasks such as the following: operation of tractors, help with equipment maintenance, work in fields, clean around barns, paint and repair farm building and similar tasks of a general nature common to a farming operation. Workers will help maintain farm equipment and repair farm buildings and other tasks common to farming and grazing operations. Workers may need to load hay and lift bags up to 60 pounds. Workers must be able to lift such weights to 4 feet over the workday. Work is done in the field for extended periods of time. Work required in fields when plants are wet with dew and rain, and may be required during light rain, snow, moderate winds, direct sunlight, high humidity, and extreme temperatures. Temperatures in fields can range from 30 to over 100 degrees. Workers may be required to work during occasional showers not severe enough to stop field operations. Employer-paid post-hire drug testing is required upon reasonable suspicion of use. Workers must have a clean driving record and be able to obtain an insurable driver's license. Will only drive farm vehicles under 26,001 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). Drug and alcohol use is prohibited on the farm and employees must not report for work, enter the employer's property, or perform service while under the influence of or having used alcohol, marijuana, illegal controlled substances, or any other substance that may in any way adversely affect their alertness, coordination, reaction, or safety. People seeking employment in this position must be available for the entire period requested by the employer. Employer may request, but not require, workers to work more than the stated daily hours and/or on a worker's Sabbath or federal holidays. Worker must report to work at designated time and place each day. Daily or weekly work schedule may vary due to weather, sunlight, temperature, crop conditions, and other factors. Employer will notify workers of any change to start time. Workers will have an unpaid lunch break. TERMINATION. All workers will be subject to a five-day trial period, during which the employer will evaluate workers' performance of required tasks. Employer reserves the right to terminate a worker at the conclusion of the trial period if the worker's performance fails to satisfy the employer's reasonable expectations, or is otherwise unacceptable.

Special Requirements:
This job requires a minimum of 3 months of agricultural experience, preferably on a hay and cattle farm, handling both manual and mechanized tasks associated with commodity production and cattle raising. Applicants must be able to furnish verbal or written statement establishing relevant prior work experience. Workers must be able to perform manual and mechanized tasks with accuracy and efficiency. Saturday work required. Must be able to lift/carry 60 lbs. Clean driving record required. Must have or be able to obtain driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer-paid post-hire drug testing is required upon reasonable suspicion of use.
