Job Duties:
General Farm and Ranch position will be required to perform any combination of the following tasks to attend to livestock and farming operation:monitor, care for and move livestock using 4-wheelers and side by sides and tractors to feed in the winter until able to move to pastures for grazing; operate sprayers, seeders, planters, and harvesting equipment; operate grain handling equipment; and clean bins. Must be able to operate tractors and farm implements required to plant, cultivate, and harvest hay and other crops; must manually hoist/stack hay bales; pick rocks, repair/replace fence in rough terrain. Mechanical skills and experience are required to use equipment necessary to perform the tasks above. Worker will be required to perform routine mechanical repairs and maintenance on farm equipment. Must be able to find and maintain bearings to grazing areas and fields. The job entails working around farm machinery, a variety of farm animals as well as exposure to predators and snakes. Most duties are performed out of doors, and entail exposure to extreme heat, cold, dust, rain and other environmental conditions. Worker must be able to crouch, bend, lift and carry up to 100 pounds. Additional hours and split shifts needed during haying, calving season, planting and harvest. Drivers license required. Increased wages and or bonus may be possible depending on experience.

Employer provided items (at no cost to the worker): All tools and equipment necessary to perform the duties assigned as well as transportation between worker(s) on-site housing and the work site. A cell phone or two-way radio will be provided for emergency and ranch communications at no cost to the worker (excluding long distance charges). The expected work schedule may be required in a split shift due to the nature of the job duties. Hours may vary due to weather, time of year and the requirements of the job. Work may be offered more than the specified hours per day, but only required to work the hours specified. Work may be offered 7 days a week but only required 6 days a week.
