Job Duties:
Performs the following duties: Post and preseason inspections, maintenance, and winterization of farm equipment such as: Peterbilt, Freightliner, Ford, Sterling, GMC trucks, 10 large tractors, John Deere combines, tillage implements such as: chisel plows, cultivators, pro-till, harrow disc, small tractors, mowers and ATV's, rock picker, roller, scraper, water pump, gooseneck trailer, tilt trailer and hopper trailer. Disassemble parts of each row and put back together on planter and drills. Inspect/replace bearings, blades, brakes, belts, gear heads, air hoses, chains, tires, wheels, hydraulic lines and etc. Drain oil in gear boxes and replace with new oil. Apply grease and replace tires. Flush radiators. Change hydraulic filters, test oil. Spot weld cracks. Drive to town to pick up mechanical supplies.
