Job Duties:

We have cattle that will need cared for through the winter months, from December to March. Cattle will be on corn stalks until they are close to calving, moved to a dry lot while calving, then moved back to stalks until they are ready to be moved to pasture. Duties will include tending to cattle while they are on cornstalks, and assist with feeding, checking for sick cattle and doctoring when needed. During calving cows will need checked 3 times per day. Employees will be expected to pull calves when needed, tag calves, and treating calves when needed. Employees will help with general farm duties throughout the season.

Special Requirements:

Job requires extensive walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, repetitive movements, frequent stooping and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Employer will conduct post-hire drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Employer will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee and will not employ anyone with a felony/theft criminal background as required by the workplace safety policy and company HR hiring practices as allowed by law. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular drivers license . Requires 3 months experience.
