Job Duties:
Raising newborn calves and cattle. Duties will be assisting with birth deliveries, watering, castrating, weighing, catching and loading animals. Doing record keeping, administering medications, giving vaccinations or insecticides as appropriate. Doing daily duties as well as cleaning and maintaining animal housing areas. Will operate tractors and equipment to assist in feeding of cattle. Employee will need to assist in planting Durum, barley, wheat, canola, peas, lentils, soybeans, corn during the spring and apply fertilizer during the summer months. Will operate a combine to harvest crop in the fall. Will need to complete maintenance on equipment. Employer may provide pay increases for performance and experience at employer’s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.

Must have 3 Months experience in Cattle Herding and operating farm equipment. Must be able to pass a post-hire drug test and a background check at employers expense. Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. Experienced in operating tractors, skit steer and other farm equipment, and must have a regular drivers' license. Drug testing is done to enforce a drug free workplace policy, failing a drug test will result in termination of employment. The employer will not hire anyone with a violent/theft criminal background.
