- Job Duties:
- Perform duties like: Calving out 800 head of cows. In addition to calving, we need help with maintaining feed equipment, daily feeding of our cow herd in several cow pastures, continuous monitoring of cows when calving, help with drafting calves, bottle feeding calves, and prepping barns for calving out. Unfortunately, with our harsh winters & below freezing temperatures, we have extensive snow removal procedures, opening up frozen water tanks & roads, and keeping watch of cows 24/7 during blizzard conditions. We also do fall herd shots, pregnancy testing cows and branding/spring shots for calves & cows. may need to drive to town to pick up cattle supplies.

- Minimum of 1 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of handling calves and cattle. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children on the farm. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Must be able to lift a 75 pound calf. Lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Overtime and taking holiday is mandatory. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
