- Job Duties:
- Prepare the grove for planting of citrus trees. Plant and maintain young citrus trees. Planting includes shoveling, pick ax, hoeing, mulching, and use of hand tools. Install and maintain irrigation for citrus orchard. Maintain bee hives by monitoring bee activity. Mixing and feeding the hives sugar water. Use shovels, picks, pruners to maintain orchards. Lift & load 60lbs. . Perform maintenance for farm equipment and facilities. Work in extreme weather conditions. Assist farmer with care and maintenance of chicken houses including but not limited to cleaning out houses, walking houses and monitoring birds, checking feeders and waterers thus allowing the farmer to have more time to monitor his citrus plantings.
