The Department of Labor recently announced new minimum wage rates, called Adverse Effect Wage Rates (AEWRs), that employers must offer and pay, at the time work is performed, to nonimmigrant H-2A workers and workers in corresponding employment beginning on the effective date of the new wage rates. Job Duties:
Employees will operate equipment to load/ unload straw, hay and forage for animal feed and other usage. They will stack bales according to types and quality using tractors and payloaders. Inventory will need to be taken of each type of forage and recorded according to types and nutritional values. General maintenance will need to be done on machinery, trailers and vehicles used. Loading areas and grounds will need daily maintenance clear of debris including snow removal. Must be able to work independently after given instructions and be self motivated. Cell phones are limited to business calls only. No Texting. No smoking or drinking of alcoholic beverages during working hours. Employees must speak, read, write and understand English language for record keeping and safety reasons. Must have a current drivers license or capable of obtaining one in 30 days. Workers must have three months of tractor, payloaders and skid steer experience.
