- Attend to live farm, ranch animals that may include horses; Duties include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, catching, loading animals; Freshen bedding; Break ice; Remove manure; Count and maintain records on animals; Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate; Maintain animal housing areas; Recapture any escaped animals; Patrol pens; Inspect, maintain, repair equipment, buildings, pens, yards, and fences.
