Job Duties:

Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as: Record information about crops such as pesticide use, yields, or costs; Direct and monitor work during planting and harvesting of crops; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate irrigation equipment; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as corn, cotton, peanuts; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Regulate conditions; Feel plants' leaves and note their coloring to detect the presence of insects or disease; Maintain inventory; Haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Build agricultural structures; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using hand tools; Weigh containers and record weights and identifying information; Manual farm labor.
