Job Duties:
Drive company vehicle to transport supplies and transfer products. Elevator operations: - Assist in all aspects of the elevator operations - Operate payloader to assist in pile pickup or loading agronomy equipment - Receive and unload grain operations - Keep facility clean and safe by cleaning grain areas and sweeping floors - Grain train loading operations including opening lids and sealing train cars - Operate a skid loader to clean up debris and grain detritus around the facility - Operate a grain dryer - Understand Lock out/tag out for confined space entry - Enter confined space with a full-time employee to clean out bins and boot pits - Assist in tarping grain piles - Operate track mobile - Ability to take inventory Fertilizer and chemical operations: - Apply chemicals, NH3, and fertilizer to fields via sprayer or fertilizer spreader - Unload fertilizer rail cards - Load chemical & fertilizer trucks - Haul products via tender trucks to the field or other locations - Fill NH3 nurse tanks during season with another employee - Operate a forklift to move products - Keep facility clean and safe by cleaning agronomy areas and sweeping floors - Ability to take inventory - perform maintenance on nurse tank General maintenance of the facility: - Diagnose and perform maintenance on equipment - Ability to learn and run power tools - Grease bearings, conveyors, and check oil in gear boxes - Identify issues or problems, such as when a bearing is bad or a broken wire on hazard monitoring equipment - Operate a lawn mower and weed eater - Ability to operate the scale if needed. - Assist with general maintenance of the facility - Identify potential problems and repair as necessary - Spraying weeds - Painting assigned areas - Load and unload products and goods as assigned -Be willing to perform these duties at assigned Landus locations as needed. -Champion of safety compliance throughout organization. Employees may operate company owned trucks for transferring grain and fertilizer from farm to co-op and co-op to farm. Workers may drive tractors and operate designated towing vehicles (trucks, pick-ups) for operation of equipment, such as fertilizer tanks and application toolbars, to fertilize crops or transfer grain. Workers will drive vehicles on company business and may transport other workers. Work is done for extended periods of time. Workers may assist in handling product weighing up to 100 pounds and lifting to a height of 5 feet. Workers must work on their feet extended periods of time. Work requires repetitive movements and extensive walking. Work may be required during light rain, snow, moderate winds, direct sun, high humidity, and extreme temperatures. Temperatures during working hours can range from 20 to over 95 degrees F. Allergies to ragweed, goldenrod, honeybees, insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, or related chemicals may affect a worker's ability to perform job. Workers should be able to do the work required with or without reasonable accommodations. Workers must obey all safety rules and basic instructions and be able to recognize, understand and comply with safety, pesticide warning/re-entry and other essential postings. Employer will instruct workers in the safety and operation of equipment before use. Workers must operate equipment in a manner that protects operator, visitors, other workers, products, trees, crops, and property. Worker must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and applicator's license if applicable. Must comply with all applicable requirements of USDOT regulations. Must pass a post-employment road test to gauge driving ability. Employer-paid, post-hire drug testing required.

Workers must have 3 months experience working with agricultural equipment. Workers who are able to obtain a US driver's license may be asked to operate vehicles and/or drive other workers. The worker must be able to obtain an applicators license if applicable. Employer-paid, post-hire drug test required.
