- Job Duties:
- Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as: Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops such as working with bins and augers; Clean, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as wheat, soybeans, corn, hay, milo, alfalfa; Load agricultural products into trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to market or storage facilities; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Regulate conditions; Maintain inventory; Haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using hand tools; Weigh containers and record weights and identifying information; Assist floater operators with filling; Read gauges or meters and record quantity loaded and unloaded; Comply with Dakota AGrow's Drug Free Workplace Policy, OSHA regulations, and the Dakota AGrow's Vehicle Policy and Fleet Safety Program; Complete chemical accurately and efficiently; Monitor equipment for leaks; Cleans up spills; Inspect assigned trucks for defects/hazards before and after trips and submit report indicating condition; A general knowledge of valves and tanks and their operation is beneficial; Listen and watch for anything unusual which may not be detected from within the cab of equipment such as plugged tips.
