- Job Duties:
- Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as: Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops such as corn, soybeans, sunflowers, wheat; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate irrigation equipment; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Identify plants, pests, and weeds to determine the selection and application of pesticides and fertilizers; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery such as applicator, forklift, skid steer, sprayer, spreader, loader; Load agricultural products into trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to field or storage facilities; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Regulate conditions including mowing and weed whacking grass, hand spray weeds; Maintain inventory; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using hand tools; Weigh containers and record weights and identifying information; Guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines; Position boxes/bags at ends of machinery to catch products, remove and close full containers.
