Job Duties:

Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment as well as farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as triticale, silage, corn, sorghum, hay; Load agricultural products into trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to market or storage facilities; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Attend to live farm animals including cattle; Feed and water livestock; Assist in birth deliveries; Provide medical treatment such as administering medications and vaccinations; Mark livestock to identify ownership using tags.
