Job Duties:

On farms, participate in crop change duties necessary to sustain seasonal hydroponic farming operations during the months of February through October. Workers may assist in certain aspects of cucumber production. Specifically, workers will assist with transplanting crops and farm maintenance. Job duties may include: operating tractors and other farm equipment to transplant crops and remove green waste, planting cucumber, washing and repairing farm structure, maintaining farm grounds, assisting in pest control (no license required), installing and maintaining the irrigation system. Equipment operated may include: farm tractors, light pickup trucks, and other common farm equipment.

Special Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs on a regular basis. Three months agricultural experience required; Greenhouse vegetable experience preferable. Ability to work in hot greenhouse conditions, including the ability to work at heights on occasion if repair or maintenance to farm structure requires. Pass post-hire medical examination paid for by employer. Random drug tests are administered and paid for by employer. 3 months of agricultural experience required; greenhouse vegetable experience preferable.
