Job Duties:

Agricultural Equipment Operator is required to work with many different types of farm machinery for soil preparation, crop planting, harvesting and grain processing. Worker will required to drive and control farm equipment to till soil, seed/plant, fertilize, spray pesticides, cultivate and harvest small grain crops; and required maintain and make minor repairs on the equipment they operate. Mechanical skills and experience are required to drive a John Deere Green Star GPS and operate other farm equipment such as a Case air drill and scales in grain cart. The worker is also required to attach farm implements, such as plow, disc, sprayer, or harvester, to tractor, using bolts and mechanic's hand tools; load and unload grain truck manually or using conveyors, hand truck, forklift, or transfer auger; weigh grain-filled containers and record weights; and clean out grain bins. Minimal fencing will be required along with facility and grounds maintenance. To work as an agriculture equipment operator requires physical coordination, decision-making ability, mechanical aptitude and driving skills. The job entails working outdoors in all types of weather (extreme heat, cold, wind, dust, rain and snow). Worker must crouch, bend, lift and carry items weighing up to 100 pounds. Wage and bonuses may be possible depending on experience.

Employer provided items (at no cost to the worker): All tools and equipment necessary to perform the duties assigned as well as transportation between worker(s) on-site housing and the work site. A cell phone or two-way radio will be provided for emergency and ranch communications at no cost to the worker (excluding long distance charges). The expected work schedule may be required in a split shift due to the nature of the job duties. Hours may vary due to weather, time of year and the requirements of the job. Work may be offered more than the specified hours per day, but only required to work the hours specified. Work may be offered 7 days a week but only required 6 days a week.
