- Job Duties:
- Attend to live farm, ranch animals that may include cattle, horses by feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding, weighing, catching, loading animals, etc.; Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Assist in birth deliveries; Administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate; Clean and maintain animal housing areas; Wean calves; Drive trucks, tractors, and other equipment such as ATV, mower, etc. to distribute feed to animals and to produce forage crops such as hay; Assist in breeding; Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards, and fences.
