Job Duties:
Egg traying: 1.) Will be given directions on eggs that need to be set. 2.) Taking eggs out of egg boxes and placing them in trays. 3.) Specific breeds will go in certain trays to be set in machines. 4.) Must not mix up breeds that will look alike when hatched. 5.) Breed labels will be kept with the eggs in the machine. Transferring: 1.) Will be taking trays out of incubators and transferring them to hatcher baskets. 2.) The hatcher baskets will be put in hatching machines. Counting baby poultry: 1.) When the poultry are ready to be taken out of the hatchers, they will be pulled out of the machine. 2.) The birds will be counted in boxes. The counts below describe how many to a corner. 26 chicks to a corner. 30 bantam chicks to a corner. 13 ducks to a corner. 8 geese to a corner. 20 turkeys to a corner. 26 Guineas to a corner. Cleaning Machines and hatchery equipment: 1.) Will be using a power washer to clean equipment.
