Job Duties:

Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops including drying rice; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate flood irrigation equipment; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as rice, soybeans, hay; Load agricultural products into trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to market or storage facilities; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Attend to live farm animals including cattle by vaccinating, ear tagging, supplementing, feeding; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Attach implements using hand tools; Walk fields to pull off type weeds.
