Job Duties:

We operate a diversified farm in Central Kansas which is primarily no till farming consisting of 4,200 acres of cropland, haying operation, with a small 100 head cow herd. We raise 1600+ acres of wheat, 1000 acres of beans, 800 acres of grain sorghum, 200 acres of corn, 550 acres of alfalfa. along with double cropping 1,800 acres after wheat harvest. We need a seasonal employee to assist with all aspects of our crop production season including planting, spraying, harvesting, and hauling of these crops. Job duties include operating farm equipment to do swathing, raking, baling, and stacking hay. Will also need to operate farm equipment to assist with planting, spraying, and harvest. Employee must be able to drive a semi-truck with trailer to haul crop. Having the ability to weld and repair equipment is strongly desired. Complete other farm duties as assigned. Employee will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. Per state regulations, employer is exempt from CDL requirement for farm trucking. No commercial or heavy truck driving is required. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.
