Job Duties:

General worker necessary for farms of corn, cotton, crawfish, grains, milo, rice, soybeans and sugar cane. The job includes operating farm equipment, driving tractors, preparing the field, maintaining water, fertilizing, planting and harvesting. Field preparation includes manual shoveling and weeding, local spraying, and gen agricultural work. Helps repair and maintain containers, buildings, equip, farms, fences, fields, levees, ponds, properties, roads and shops. Loading and unloading. You can operate a motorized crawfish boat and / or a walk / push boat. Crawfish involves manually cutting the fish bait, setting traps, baiting, and controlling the traps. Sort, wash, scoop, and ice crawfish for shipment, make and repair traps as needed. Pick up / deliver crawfish as needed. You can deliver the harvest to refrigerators or to the market. The worker must be able to lift / carry 50 pounds. Mon-Fri, some Saturdays / Sundays, work in excess of 40 hours may vary. Employees can be compensated above the established hourly wage, this decision to pay above the current hourly wage will be made by the employer, basing this decision on factors including the performance and work history of the individual beneficiary. Allergies to ragweed, goldenrod, bug spray, and related chemicals and pesticides, etc. They can affect the ability of workers to do the job. The employer may require post-hire, random, suspected, or post-accident drug testing, all at no cost to the employee. Positive test or noncompliance may result in immediate termination of employment. The job involves bending over, lifting objects, and working outdoors in bad weather conditions. Must have 3 mo exp in a similar position
