Job Duties:

GENERAL CONDITIONS: Field work begins at assigned time shortly after daylight. Work may be performed during light rain and in high humidity and in freezing or high heat temperatures. The worker may be required to work in the orchard when trees are wet with dew/rain and should have suitable clothing for variable weather conditions. Full Growing Season Commitment: The worker agrees to be available for work and perform the assigned work for the assigned employer through the full period of employment 02/18/2024 through 06/08/2024. Sprayer: operate a sprayer and have the ability to calibrate the equipment properly. Proper donning and use of required personal protective equipment. The basic knowledge of how-to pre-check equipment prior to use; including oil, transmission, cooling system, tires, hydraulics, air filters, belts, and safety equipment. The ability to safely operate equipment used for applying liquid substances to plants or crops. The ability to follow detailed instructions from the Manager in order to mix or apply chemical applications of pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides through sprays, dusts, vapors, or soil incorporation, on trees, shrubs, lawns, or crops. This position requires the applicant to obtain: WPS training, prior to working with chemicals, have the capability to pass a respiratory fit test and have a medical certification from a physician.
