- Job Duties:
- The Nursery Worker will perform various basic nursery activities associated with sowing and pruning of trees and perennial plants. Participate in the planting process performing duties, such as laying out trees, shoveling soil and hand straightening trees. Participate in the digging process, including trying up plants, sewing burlap and hand digging. Perform weed control by hand weeding and hoeing. Water plants in the field and containers as needed. General pruning. The workers will aid in soil preparation, including removing weeds and debris from fields. Cultivate fields and prepare for planning. Assist with irrigation of plants. Spray, monitor, trim and discard plants. Hourly work schedule may vary based on weather. Overtime required based on need.
