Job Duties:

Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops including manually loading small square bales by hand; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate center pivot, drip, and row irrigation equipment; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) such as cotton picker and stripper, shredder, swather, rake, baler, tillage tool to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as wheat, canola, corn, cotton, hay; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to employer’s fields, load employer’s crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags in close proximity to the farm; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping including mowing and weed eating; Attend to live farm animals including cattle by vaccinating, tagging, supplementing, feeding; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Attach implements using hand tools.
