Job Duties:
Manure is pumped from the manure source to the field through a hose to an applicator that directly injects the manure into the ground to be used as fertilizer. Pumps, tractors, and hoses are being used to do this job. Monitoring pig health while pumping and agitating manure. Workers must apply grease to equipment and wash and disinfect equipment frequently to avoid disease, operate tractors to agitate, check and monitor hoses for leaks or issues, run pumps, move hoses, and equipment to next jobs, fuel, and maintenance equipment. The job requires working around livestock and the strong smell of manure. The candidate must have a driver's license, tractor driving experience, and be willing to wash equipment and perform maintenance. Must be able to understand basic commands in English. Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs., 75 yds. Will be exposed to heights, temperature extremes, strenuous physical activity, and repetitive motions.
