Job Duties:

Job duties will include assisting with planting, land preparation, tillage, irrigation, chemical or fertilizer application, harvesting and delivery to packaging and/or processing facilities for all crops. Workers will be required to operate tractors with various implements attached, sprayers, combines, cotton pickers, ATVs/side by sides, and other large farm equipment to perform work duties. Non CDL farm trucks will be loaded with agricultural products and driven on the farm and to storage facilities. Other job duties will include: loading seed into planters and operating equipment to plant all crops; changing combine cutting heads; perform irrigation work including laying pipe, setting up and operating irrigation equipment, and clearing and maintaining irrigation ditches; building constructing and maintaining levees; installing and removing levy gates and putting in spillways; walking fields to ensure the crops are receiving adequate water supplies; general maintenance, mechanical repair, and upkeep on all farm equipment; regularly servicing equipment; welding; clean equipment, farm shops, and structures; using hand tools for field work and equipment repair; mowing and landscaping on the farm; and lifting items as needed. Grain bin duties include receiving crop for drying and storage at grain storage facility; disposing of spoiled grain; transporting grain from fields to grain bins; loading and unloading grain into trucks while keeping grain level; operating augers and grain conveying equipment; monitoring grain moisture levels; preparing scale tickets; and. shoveling grain. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.

Special Requirements:

Job requires having or being able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Basic English literacy and math skills are required. Job will require periods when workers may be exposed to varying weather conditions and extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, and walking.
