Job Duties:

Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2091 Agricultural Equipment Operator such as: Mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions; Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions; Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery for cultivating, planting, spraying, watering, harvesting, storing crops; Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery such as cleaning, washing, fueling; Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, much of which is equipped with GPS, such as tractor, combine, sprayer, truck, cart, mower, tillage tool to prepare land and produce crops such as rice, corn, soybeans; Adjust farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions; Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, planters, harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools; Haul and spread fertilizer and other materials to condition soil; Operate towed machines such as seed drills or spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust, and spray crops; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate irrigation equipment for watering crops such as checking relifts.
