Job Duties:

Workers will perform a combination of tasks involved in planting, cultivating and harvesting of diversified crops, according to the instructions of the supervisor. Workers will plant in greenhouses, as well as plant and transplant crops in fields. Workers will perform field work of hand weeding, thinning and hoeing, as well as other duties related to planting, maintaining and harvesting of crops. Workers are required to stand, bend and kneel for long periods of time in all weather. Workers must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Workers must be willing to work in varied weather ranging from extremely cold in the spring/fall as well as hot, humid rainy weather in the summer.

Special Requirements:

Workers will harvest crops according to the quality and method of the employer. The employer will provide 1 day of training and allow 2 days of work for the workers to satisfactorily perform the duties previously described. Workers will get 30 minutes for lunch and a 15 break in the morning and afternoon. Beginning and ending times each day, as well as the number of hours per day will vary depending on the weather and condition of the crops, WORKERS MUST BE ABLE TO TAKE DIRECTION IN SIMPLE ENGLISH.
