- Job Duties:
- Workers will plant, cultivate, weed, harvest, sort/grade and field pack vegetables, and flowers, by hand, hand tools and tractors. Workers will utilize tractors to plant, cultivate and harvest row crops, may participate in irrigation activities. The employer has livestock (Horses, chickens, goats) and a livestock care staff that works directly with the animals, but when this staff is busy or out at market events, the workers may be asked to assist in feeding and cleaning pens and stalls. Workers will maintain the grounds such as fence repair, weed-eating, mowing, and general cleaning and maintenance of equipment. Workers may load or unload deliveries and customers vehicles, may make deliveries or pick ups at/to market if workers have a drivers license. Workers must be able to lift 50 lbs. No illegal drugs are allowed on the worksite or housing, drug testing is performed at the employers expense upon suspicion, accident, incident, or randomly. Failure or refusal of a drug test is grounds for immediate termination. Workers must have 3 months verifiable vegetable farming.
