Job Duties:

This is an agricultural application to provide ground support for aerial application business. Theworker will only work on employer owned and leased property within Eastern South Dakota.Duties will include: Fuel the plane by connecting and disconnecting fuel hose to and from theairplane. Mix chemicals. Read and understand a load ticket. Load the planes with chemical byconnecting and disconnecting load hose to and from plane. Load plane with fertilizer/seed.Clean all equipment used daily. Mowing and maintaining airstrips using a zero-turn mowerand/or a large tractor to pull a 15-20 foot mower/bush hog. Spraying weed killer and weedeating around the air strips and buildings. Repair holes / washed out areas, and remove debristhat collect on airstrips due to storms and wind. Other duties also include regular maintenanceof dry and liquid mixing equipment and loading equipment, washing the loader trucks andairplanes every day as well as incidental maintenance on the equipment like tractors,lawnmowers, and pickup trucks. may need to drive to town to pickup supplies.Drive trucks with capacities greater than 3 tons, including tractor-trailer combinations, to transport and deliver products, or other materials. Secure cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers. Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles. Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition. Load and unload trucks, vans, or automobiles. Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations. Drive vehicles with capacities under three tons to transport materials to and from specified destinations, such as railroad stations, plants, residences, offices, or within industrial yards. Use and maintain the tools or equipment found on commercial vehicles, such as weighing or measuring devices.

Special Requirements:

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a CDL within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Overtime and taking holiday is mandatory. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
