Job Duties:

We need a seasonal worker to assist in my row crop farming operation growing typically cotton, wheat, corn and sorghum. Duties will include all activities of preparing fields for planting, planting, irrigation, fertilizing of a different variety of crops. Employee will need to operate farm equipment including tractors, other farm equipment, irrigation system, and farm vehicles. Job duties will include: prepare fields for planting, attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools, operate tractors, planters, seed drills, irrigation equipment, operate other farm equipment, engage in planting, weeding, spraying and/or harvesting activities, spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth, and diseases, using hand sprayers, install, maintain and repair pivot irrigation systems, load and unload crops or materials, manually or using conveyors, , forklifts, or transfer augers, load hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines with products, using forklifts, transfer augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks, manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery, observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions, attach equipment extensions or accessories, operate equipment to harvest crops, complete maintenance and repairs on irrigation equipment, record agricultural data, drive pickup trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools, inspect, adjust, and complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping, inform farmers or farm managers of crop progress, maintain and repair irrigation and climate control systems, operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment, repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures, set up and operate irrigation equipment, harvest agricultural products, operate farming equipment, operate irrigation systems, perform manual agricultural, aquacultural, or horticultural tasks, plant crops, trees, or other plants, and prepare land for agricultural use. Employee will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment, farm vehicles, tractors, farm equipment, and irrigation equipment. Drive farm trucks to haul crop. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.

Job requires exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures, extensive pushing or pulling, extensive sitting or walking, repetitive movements. Must be able to lift 100 lbs. Must have a regular driver's license. Requires 2 months farm experience.
