Job Duties:

Tend to cattle and fields (to include cattle health and field pest monitoring and treatment, also irrigation by pivot, gated pipe and siphon tubes); assist with calving and breeding (to include assisted births, estrus detection and synchronization); perform maintenance and repair of facilities and fencing (to include barbed wire stretching and brace post installation, hi-tensile wire stretching and electrification, steel pipe welding and cutting, concrete patching, pouring, screeding and finishing, water tank repair and replacement and plumbing); assist with embryo transfers related to artificial insemination of cattle (to include gathering over large areas and operating related equipment) feeding cattle various feedstuffs to include baled hay, chopped forage and silage, loose grains, mineral salt supplement and operation of related equipment. Work hours as determined by weather and livestock needs. The work day may begin / end earlier or later on any given day and evening. Typical workweek is Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., with potential nights and weekends required depending on needs.
