Job Duties:

Job requires performing manual duties to prepare rows for planting, planting, spraying and performing weed control, fertilizing, harvesting and picking ears of corn when ready, placing ears in a large wagon for drying, and placing dried ears into 50 pound bags to be sold. Duties also include repairing and maintaining property borders; performing maintenance on farm grounds and structures as needed; properly mixing chemicals; loading chemicals into sprayers; rouging fields and using hand tools to remove undesirable plant varieties, trash, and other objects from fields; ensuring operational areas are organized and well maintained; and using hand tools and equipment to repair, clean and maintain farm vehicles. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on weather, and field conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.

Special Requirements:

Job requires having or being able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Basic English literacy and math skills are required. Job will require periods when workers may be exposed to varying weather conditions and extensive sitting, or walking.
