- Job Duties:
- Workers will manually plant, cultivate, weed and harvest vegetables, fruits, nuts and field , crops. They will use hand tools including: shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears and knives. Duties may include tilling soil and applying fertilizers; transplanting, weeding, thinning or pruning crops. Workers will also apply pesticides and participate in irrigation activities. Their responsibilities will also include cleaning, packing, and loading harvested products. They may construct trellises, repair fences and farm buildings. Workers may operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops. Worker must have 1 months of experience driving tractors.

- Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. These hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity. If a worker repeatedly falls substantially short compared to fellow coworkers for an extended period of time, it may be determined, by the supervisor and or president of Battiato Farms Inc, as a breach of the employees contract and grounds for termination of employment and work visa if applicable. Use of cell phones during work hours is prohibited, supervisors will have phones in case of emergency.
