Job Duties:
Mechanics must be able to: • Rebuild a diesel engine, put piston/sleeves/bearings in an engine, replace fuel injectors, diagnose engine problems on farm vehicles, semitrucks, and heavy machinery (Case IH ag tractors). • Rebuild heavy duty transmissions on semitrucks when necessary. • Perform a complete overhaul on diesel engines, time diesel engines, and change heavy duty clutch on semitrucks. • Work on PTO systems, planting, and tillage equipment, jake breaks. Harvest preparation includes preparing equipment, trucks, trailers, tractors, harvesters and field equipment.
