Job Duties:
Duties include driving and operating farm machinery such as tractors and combines to perform farm activities such as planting, cultivation, and harvesting of crops wheat & sunflowers. Workers will drive tractors installed with GPS and mapping-equipped farm machinery. Operate designated towing equipment, drills, disks, and drags to furrow and prepare the soil, seed and fertilize. They will transport materials, supplies, or crops from fields or bin storage to designated locations of local elevators. This will be done by operation augers, conveyors, or grain vac with some bins that may require shoveling and sweeping. Delivery of products such as fuel, lubricants, and tools from farm to fields. Routine maintenance will be done on all equipment & grounds. Workers must be able to work independently after being given instructions and must be team players when needed. Machinery will need to be cleaned off, blown out and washed. Maintenance will need to be done on structures, grounds and equipment used. Requirements: - Employees have valid driver's licenses or obtain one in 30 days. - Cell phone usage is limited to business-related calls only. - NO TEXTING. - No smoking in equipment, vehicles, housing or grounds. - No drinking of alcoholic beverages during working hours and otherwise discouraged. - Must be able to read, understand and speak English for record keeping and safety reasons. - No Educational level is required. Must be able to understand, speak, read and write English for safety reasons and record keeping. Must be able to communicate with owners and other employees about jobs and various tasks. - Must have six months GPS and mapping-equipped farm machinery experience with towed implements. Operate and understand computerized monitors and three months of general farm machinery operations.
