Job Duties:

Job duties include diagnose, adjust, repair, perform routine servicing on equipment and trucks used to harvest and haul a perishable crop; fix and repair metal damaged on equipment; must be able to cut, fabricate, and weld metal; repair/maintain farm vehicles, implements, mechanical equipment and trucks; 3 months previous experience of repairing & maintaining sugarcane harvest equipment required. Job involves extensive sitting, exposure to extreme temperatures, repetitive movements, and frequent stooping; must be able to lift 50 pounds; travel may be required to and from field locations; transportation is provided; drug screening may be required upon hire and randomly (paid for by employer). Bonus may be paid at the end of the contract at the discretion of the employer. Base hours offered is 40 hours; additional hours are usually offered during a plentiful season and may include 10-40 additional hours of work depending on the nature of the season.
