Job Duties:

Broiler farming activities, attending to flock, feeding, water, ventilation and heating requirements. collect and compost mortality, cull lame birds. keep up with sanitation, biosecurity and operational procedures dictated by integrator. perform minor maintenance of production equipment, fans, heaters, feeder, drinkers, curtains and inlets. receive and monitor farm inputs, birds, vitamins, feed, Propane gas, diesel fuel and water. attend equipment failure alarms, adjust and repair accordingly. Prepare flock for catch day, raise feeders and drinker lines, lower curtains and coordinate with catch crews. Prepare houses for flock reception, tilling, de-caking, cleaning, disinfecting, prepare feeders, drinkers and additional feed trays for new chicks, preheat and unload chickens. monitor and maintain auxiliary equipment, emergency power generators, water pumps, cool pads, tractors, mowers, weed sprayers. collaborate with grounds upkeep, mow, apply herbicide, shape roads and ditches, repair and build fences.
