- Job Duties:
- Operating self-propelled equipment that assists with reaping, harvesting, threshing, swathing, or winnowing crops such as corn, wheat, milo, hay, oats; performing manual or mechanical adjustments to equipment; performing safety checks on equipment; maintaining and repairing farm structures, equipment and other tools in the course of harvesting crops; driving truck or tractor with trailer or cart attached for transporting crops, equipment tools, or other materials to elevators, silos, storage areas, and from one field to another; attaching equipment using hand tools; weighing contains and recording weights; directing and monitoring workers during harvesting; cleaning work areas. While a CDL is not required for workers that operate or repair machinery, workers that drive truck to transport products from fields to storage and machines from field to field may possess a CDL. Worksite controlled/operated by employer.
