Job Duties:

Duties may include: Plant, water, prune, weed, fertilize and transplant trees and shrubs. Use hand gardening tools to cultivate and care for plants. Haul and spread topsoil and fertilizer to prep soil using wheelbarrows, garden tractor and skid steer. Clean work areas and maintain inventory. Trap and destroy pests such as mice, gophers and moles as well as invasive insects & other related Nursery Worker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org). Possible weekend/holiday work.

Special Requirements:

Must be 18 due to insurance. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 50lbs; may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Variable weather conditions may apply. On-the-job training provided.
