- Job Duties:
- Job requires tending to livestock in the forms of feeding, examining, tagging, and herding and working with hay. Employees will be operating various equipment including, but not limited to, tractors, front loaders, zero turn mowers, balers, skid steers, sprayers, chainsaws, welding equipment, cutting equipment, hay tender, rake, weed eater, golf carts, mini excavator, mini trucks, 4 wheelers, trailers, and trucks with goose-neck cattle trailers connected. Non CDL farm trucks will be loaded with agricultural products and driven on the farm and to storage facilities. Equipment will be operated for duties with livestock and farming, raking, cutting, baling, and transporting hay to the delivery locations. Employees will pick up sticks and debris on the ranch as needed; cutting up fallen trees for removal when needed; place, maintain, and wash ranch property borders; load hay into trucks; mixing chemicals for spraying around the ranch and cleaning flowerbeds on the ranch; clean stalls; and throw feed sacks. Performing general maintenance, repairs and/or clean-up of storage sheds, barns, buildings, and all farm equipment; ensuring operational areas are organized and well maintained; using hand tools and equipment to repair, clean and maintain farm vehicles, machinery and specialized machinery and agricultural equipment; and regularly servicing equipment. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.
