Job Duties:

The main purpose of this position is to provide support in all activities related to planting, growing and harvesting annual herb crops on Oregon’s Wild Harvest’s farm property, as directed by the Farm Manager and Assistant Farm Managers and following all regulatory and safety policies and practices. Key Functions/Responsibilities: 1. At all times follow SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) #100- #199, good sanitation practices and good safety policies and practices. 2. Assist with tractor work including but not limited to: transplanting, harvesting and mowing. 3. Perform hand/manual work in the field to including but not limited to: harvesting plant material, rock removal, plant clipping, weeding with hand tools (hoes, shovels, rakes, clippers), some use of small engine devices for plant maintenance (i.e. blowers, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, etc.), irrigation and fence repair. 4. Assist with Herb Washing and Drying: wash line quality control and cleaning, loading/ unloading of wash line, temperature regulation and monitoring, loading/unloading of dryers, packaging and labelling dry goods or materials, maintain accurate records – wash line cleaning records, dryer cleaning records, inventory updates, etc. 5. Help with daily cleaning; and with the equipment and maintenance of tools: - Trailers, eating areas, Barn, wash line, and other work areas are clean and organized daily, - Cleaning and organization are assigned and rotated weekly - Tools, and collecting racks are washed and stored correctly - Compost, trash, & recycling are put in proper receptacles - Compost, trash and recycling are emptied 2-3x per week as needed - Floors swept - Knives, machetes and clippers are maintained and stored correctly - Dirty clothes are brought to designated area for washing - Doors and gates are closed at the end of the day 6. Special duties as assigned by the Farm Manager or Assistant Farm Managers 7. Exceptional performers may have opportunities to be trained in the following: tractor work, greenhouse production and irrigation system support 8. Special Requirements:

Worker must possess 3 months of row crop experience: planting, growing and, harvesting annual herb crops- 4e) Must be able to lift and/or load 60lbs. 4g) Work may take place when temperatures are below freezing and above 100 degrees Fahrenheit. 4h) May require extensive pulling and/or pushing of tools, wheelbarrows, fruit containers, etc. 4i) May require worker to sit and/or walk for extensive periods of time while sorting, picking, examining, weeding, transporting, pruning, etc. 4j) Workers will be required to stoop and/or bend over while performing farm labor such as weeding, irrigating, pruning, picking, removing debris, etc. 4k) There will be repetitive movements while performing most of the farm labor duties, for example picking, sorting, pruning, shoveling, weeding, etc
