Job Duties:

Cultivate sod that is healthy, robust, and weed-free. Till, rake, and clear soil of rocks and vegetation. Organize and plant seeds. Water and mow sod. Harvest sod and underlying soil so that the root systems have a base in which to grow. Cut and shape sod. Deliver and install sod. Other duties include performing maintenance on property and equipment, including pallet repairs, grading field lanes, mowing ditches, yard work around the farm, spraying weeds, servicing irrigation equipment, and drain tile installation. Work hours as determined by weather and sod needs. The work day may begin / end earlier or later on any given day and evening. Typical workweek is Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., with potential nights and weekends required depending on needs.
