Job Duties:

Rice/Grain - Level rice bins, load/unload trucks to drive to elevators and rice bins, on the farm, no CDL. Workers may drive/operate tractors, field/farm vehicles and implements to plant, cultivate, and harvest crops in the field, rice bins and elevators. Use brooms, blowers, shovels and vacuum cleaning devices to clean pickup trucks, pits, and rice carts. Set up and maintain irrigation equipment. Crawfish - repair/build traps, put traps out in fields and pick up traps from fields. Workers will complete minor repairs to the existing levees and pipes with shovel. Flood and drain fields. Workers will drive boat 50 to 70 acres to maintain, clean, sort and re-sack crawfish. May drive workers to/from work locations and to grocery store.

Special Requirements:

Must be 18 years old or older per liability insurance requirements. Worker will need three (3) months experience working with rice and grain crops. A valid drivers' license is required to transport workers to fields and grocery store. Employer may conduct background check on all new applicants for employment at employers expense. All tools, supplies and equipment will be provided at no cost to workers. Workers should come prepared wearing appropriate clothing and footwear for the environmental and working conditions described. Cell phone can only be used during breaks, emergencies, and communicated with supervisor when needed. Work is conducted outside in all kinds of weather, including rain and extreme heat and cold. Job involves extreme and repetitive movements such as: climbing, lifting, stooping, reaching, walking, sitting, bending, kneeling, and for extended periods of time. Lifting/Carrying requirement may have a range of 5 - 40 lbs. Safety training on tools and equipment
