- Job Duties:
- Agricultural Equipment Operator description: Agricultural Equipment Operators drive and control various farm equipment to harvest an array of crops, to include peas and corn with the attention to detail in their surroundings throughout the operation of equipment in a safe and careful manner. This job may also include the operation of stationary equipment to perform post-harvest tasks. Pre-inspection is to be completed by operators for all equipment intended to be used for assigned duties before they operate the equipment. Upon the recognition of service needs such as adjustments, repairs, etc.; the operator must notify the supervisor immediately. Observe and listen to machinery during operation in order to detect malfunctions and maintain optimal performance for harvesting needs. Maintain and manipulate controls to set, activate, adjust and fine tune machinery mechanisms. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools and farm workers. Load hoppers, containers, trucks, truck trailers with agriculture products being harvested. Operate farm equipment. *Refer to addendum C
