Job Duties:

Farm Laborers’ to perform the following duties: Pre-Harvest: crop care, weeding, checking the fields, monitoring moisture in the fields. Hand Harvested Crop: Green peppers, tomatoes, winter squash. Machine Harvested Crop: sweet corn, green beans. use corn wagon picking corn off of the machine and putting it in the bags. 62 ears per bag. Overhead Irrigation Lines: help operate irrigation. Clean Up. Fall: clean up vegetables. Hand Weeding with Long Hoe. May operate tractor - under 26,000 total weight capacity. CDL not required.

Special Requirements:

3 month of harvesting work experience Workers must be able to lift 65 lbs. frequently. The employer has a specific dress code to keep workers safe - details explained at worker orientation and onboarding. Workers will be provided safety training and will be expected to handle tools/equipment safely and carefully so as to avoid crop damage and to protect the worker from potential injury. No smoking or illegal weapons or controlled substances in the fields or in the houses. Cannot be color blind due to the need to distinguish colors of crops. Able to stoop, bend, and work in cold and wet conditions. Able to use tools such as pruning shears, grape knives, hand saws, weed eaters, hedgers, shovels. Workers may use chains saws. Safety use and training provided by employer. Workers must abide by Employer housing rules.
