- Job Duties:
- Record information about crops such as pesticide use, yields, or costs; Direct and monitor work during planting and harvesting of crops; Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops such as working with bins and augers to load carts and trailers; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields, load crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags; Operate front end loaders for loading corn silage, alfalfa and bermuda grass bales with 2 strings, 3 string bales and large tonnage bales for transport; Harvest silage and hay; Transport hay from field locations to storage locations.
